Box of Delights (and My Story!) Gets a Great Review!

Box of Delights, by Irish publisher Aeon Press, came out, I dunno, about two years ago.  I thought it was a good, solid collection, with stories by Steve Rasnic Tem, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Priya Sharma and my good buddy Erik T. Johnson.  But it got little notice and kind of sank beneath the waves…

But Hellnotes just found it and gave it a great review…and singled out my contribution, “Box of Rocks,” as one of the reviewer’s favorites.

Here’s what he said:

“Saving the best for last? Well I’ll let you decide that for yourself. I’ll just say that I really liked it. I can easily say the same for Don D’Ammassa’s “Farm on the Down” which was a delight if just for that playful title alone, as was the little slice of crazy that was “Box of Rocks” by John F.D. Taff. There are other winners to be found in the Box of Delights, but I’ve said enough. Nice surprises are always welcome and this book is full of them.”

Great review. Go here to read the entire thing.

And one personal note.  I would also single out Erik T. Johnson’s “The Black Tree’s Box” as one of my favorites.

Go get Box of Delights here!
