So, I sold a story yesterday, an older one called “The Skin Club,” written back in the exciting days when “erotic” horror was all the rage. Yeah, sure. Well, it sat in my “Never Gonna Sell” file for years, then I hauled it out, gave it a polish, and started submitting. (This is primarily because I have almost totally sold out all the short stories I have…and I don’t have a lot of time to write more as I’m working on a new novel.)
Anyway, the kind folks at Beware the Dark magazine, a British horror pub, snapped it up and it will appear sometime…I’m not sure yet, but I’ll let ya know.
In other news, I got the first set of edits back for The Bell Witch and plowed through those last weekend. I sent the manuscript back and I’m waiting for the “final” version and a mock-up of the cover. I think…think…it will be out next week. Fingers crossed. Check back here, etc., etc.
And I finished a novella for my secret project. It’s called “What Becomes God,” and I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written. We’ll see.
