“Wall to Wall” on The Horror Zine!

Heard from Jeani Rector the other day.  She’s the founder and editor of The Horror Zine, a great little, multiple-award-winning horror fiction site.  The last few issues have featured writers like sci-fi great David Brin, Joe McKinney, Scott Nicholson, Yvonne Navarro, the legendary Piers Anthony, the equally legendary Ramsey Campbell, Joe Lansdale and Graham Masterson.  Jeani said she’d like a story from me for the September issue.  Me?  Ummm…sure.

Problem. I have pretty much sold out of short stories.  Now, in the realm of a writer, this isn’t too bad a problem to have.  But still.  The cupboard is empty.

Or is it…?  I went through my “Let’s face it, this ain’t gonna sell file,” found a likely story, polished it up, and whaddaya know, Jeani loved it.

So, “Wall to Wall,” a grisly little story featuring a possessed…wait for it…vacuum cleaner, will appear at The Horror Zine in September!  Look for it there!

If you’re keeping score, and why wouldn’t you, here’s what I’ve got coming out over the next four months or so:

“The Immolation Scene” in Horror Library V, sometime in September around Killercon.

“Three Silent Things” in Shades of Blue & Gray, sometime in September

“Wall to Wall” at The Horror Zine, in September

“Show Me” in Dark Visions Vol. 1, sometime soon!

“The Night Moves” in Postscripts to Darkness, sometime in October

“Angie” in Ominous Realities, sometime in November.

“The Skin Club” in Beware of the Dark, prob. Spring 2014

“Planting Robert” in Big Pulp, Spring 2014

Plus, of course my thrilling thriller, Kill/Off, in October this year!

So, lots of stuff out there soon!  And, of course, The Bell Witch is available now.
