Writing Marathon Update No. 1 10 p.m. CST

Ok, so just at the four hour mark here.  I’ve written about 3,300 words so far, taking the novel to about 27,284 words.  I’ve paused twice.  Once to let the dogs out…no euphemism there…the actual dogs actually went outside.  Then, I stopped at about 9:30 ish to ingest a 20 oz. mug of coffee and some scrumptious pickled peach shortcake.  That should keep me going until the inevitable sugar crash at 10:30ish.

Not much accomplished in this final hour, except to go back and slightly rework/edit/trim/rewrite the previous 3,30o words.

So pretty much on track…tea & a cigar at midnight.  See ya at 2 a.m., when I hope to have scribbled about 7,000 words.

Here with you John. Your little lunatic-ish Writenarok is an awesome idea. While I myself may need to sleep, you keep up the fight. And remember, there is probably some of that scrumptious peach shortcake still awaiting you in the fridge for the wee hours of the a.m. 🙂
